We are looking to hire a Service Account Manager in Chicago, IL for the growing team, where you will be responsible for developing trusting customer relationships, business development and maximizing account share and customer retention with the building owner and facilities accounts.

This position is remote, meaning you can work from home on those days when you aren’t in front of customers. Occasional travel to the office may be required.

Role responsibilities:

Based out of Willowbrook, IL, if successful, you will be primarily responsible for delivering on business strategy by developing long-term customer relationships with building owners and strengthening existing customer base with a focus on providing customers a total solution for the most energy-efficient buildings.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Takes a consultative and strategic approach to pursue new business and grow existing account relationships
  • Effectively target and identify opportunities. Facilitate discovery. Qualify opportunities early in the buying and selling process.
  • Facilitate engaging conversations that lead to relevant next steps.
  • Leads customer conversations with business-level insights to establish value and create demand. Actively listen to identify concerns.
  • Acts as a facilitator to help the customer buy, including developing project business cases, financial proforma, and validating business outcomes. Gather and validate preliminary information, perform facility walkthroughs, construction plan reviews or other requirements.
  • Sell, renew, and expand service agreements to both new and existing customers.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for someone with a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, business, or equivalent from a four-year college or university preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

You should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in HVAC systems and working knowledge of applied equipment (AHU, Chillers etc.). We would also be open to hearing from candidates within related fields such as fire, security lighting etc. as long as you have experience selling to end users on complex commercial or industrial projects.
