CrimsonXT have partnered with a leading HVACR and the world’s leading largest manufacturer of oil-free centrifugal chillers in search of their next Product Manager!

In this pivotal role, you’ll oversee a designated product line on a global scale, serving as its ambassador across the Global Commercial Business Units. Your primary responsibilities include gathering regular feedback from regional leaders, aligning product activities with the Commercial Business Units’ strategies, and spearheading efforts to optimize product line performance worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

General Product Management:

  • Monitor revenue, costs, profitability, and other vital Key Performance Indicators for the product line.
  • Drive initiatives for cost reduction where necessary.
  • Analyze regional market growth and product volume projections, reporting findings to regional and global leadership.
  • Assess market share by product line and sub-categories, identifying trends and recommending strategies for growth.
  • Contribute to the preparation of accurate financial plans and forecasts, addressing any major deviations between actual and planned outcomes.
  • Keep abreast of our products and competitors’ successes within the assigned product line globally, identifying opportunities and areas for improvement.

Sales & Customer Interface:

  • Develop and maintain product-specific content for sales support, training, and customer collateral.
  • Provide support to Commercial managers in marketing, sales, and customer interactions as required.
  • Utilize customer feedback to validate and determine requirements for existing and new product development.
  • Gain insights into key global sales offices and channels to better understand primary market needs and operating environments.
  • Act as the representative for assigned Product Lines across global Business Units.

Marketing:

  • Assist in defining core positioning and messaging for the product line aligned with overall Business strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with Regional Business Leaders to ensure consistent internal and external marketing communication.
  • Manage a comprehensive suite of global sales and marketing tools necessary for competitive positioning.
  • Support promotional activities in industry and professional forums.
  • Contribute to launch and ramp-down plans for products in line with strategic product development schedules and roadmaps.

Product & Strategy Roadmap:

  • Manage all products within the assigned Product Line globally, identifying competitive positioning opportunities, product gaps, and strategic growth plans.
  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap inclusive of all products within the assigned Product Line across global regions.
  • Drive processes to deliver products, features, and sales tools required for strategic growth plans.
  • Oversee the product line lifecycle, including phase-in/phase-out schedules, extensions, and value engineering.
  • Identify new business opportunities for the assigned product line.

Pricing & Costing:

  • Conduct analysis to develop market-based pricing strategies.
  • Maintain standard costs and pricing in collaboration with manufacturing facilities.
  • Monitor margin variance and real cost position versus standard cost.
  • Provide product cost guidance to Regional Managers across all plants.
  • Utilize regional market price data to inform target cost settings for product development projects.
  • Ensure sales tools reflect accurate and current pricing levels for the product line.
