We are looking for a dynamic individual to join them as a Loads Team Leader. They are at the forefront of innovation, working passionately to integrate certified eVTOLs into the Advanced Air Mobility Eco-System. As a leader in this role, you will spearhead the Load analysis across various disciplines, ensuring program objectives are met efficiently while embracing cutting-edge technology and maintaining a lean operational approach. *Paid Relocation to Japan with VISA support*

This is a remote position across EMEA.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and integrate all Load analysis activities with aircraft development and certification processes.
  2. Serve as the technical authority for all Load-related decisions.
  3. Provide expertise and tools for aircraft-level integration from a Loads perspective, collaborating with other technical teams.
  4. Develop and manage Load analysis and design requirements throughout the aircraft life-cycle, ensuring compliance for certification.
  5. Collaborate closely with the Safety Team to incorporate Load aspects into aircraft-level safety assessments.
  6. Foster best practices by blending conventional aerospace knowledge with innovative approaches tailored to the needs of a lean start-up culture.
  7. Mentor and develop talent within the Loads team and contribute to recruitment efforts across the company.

Requirements:

Essential:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, Aeronautical Engineering, or related field.
  2. Minimum 10 years of experience in Load analysis for certified aerospace vehicles.
  3. Proven leadership experience in leading Loads teams.
  4. Comprehensive understanding of aircraft Load analysis across all phases of the aircraft life cycle.
  5. Proficiency in generating and managing technical requirements for Loads discipline throughout the life-cycle.
  6. Strong project management and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple disciplines.
  7. Deep knowledge of Part/CS 23/25/27/29 and experience in developing means of compliance for Loads-related requirements.
  8. Ability to challenge conventional assumptions and propose innovative solutions.
  9. Familiarity with rotor blade aerodynamics and rotor dynamics impacting Loads analysis.
  10. Business-level proficiency in English for effective communication in a multilingual environment.

Desirable:

  1. Experience or understanding of Load analysis for multicopters.
  2. Familiarity with Interactions of Systems of Structures regulations and/or computing Loads for aircraft with fly-by-wire control systems.
  3. Understanding of multi-copter aerodynamics and its implications on Load requirements.
  4. Experience in direct discussions with regulators and participation in standards development.
  5. Familiarity with analysis tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, Python, etc.
  6. Knowledge of proposed eVTOL regulations and means of compliance.
