CrimsonXT is partnered with a leading manufacturing company, who are seeking a Service Engineer specializing in Impregnation to join their team. From installations to troubleshooting and customer support, your expertise will be critical in driving their mission to exceed expectations.

Responsibilities

On-site Technical Support (50%)

  • Lead new machine installations and system setups, ensuring flawless execution.
  • Conduct equipment tests and validations to guarantee optimal performance.
  • Respond swiftly to emergency troubleshooting and repairs, keeping operations running smoothly.
  • Provide maintenance and training visits, empowering customers with knowledge and confidence.
  • Deliver comprehensive training sessions for operators and maintenance personnel.
  • Expertly identify spare parts and make tailored recommendations to meet customer needs.
  • Modify NC code for new part production and introduce and test new resin materials.
  • Evaluate machines for upgrades or replacements.

Production and Assembly Support (30%)

  • Assist in machine assembly, ensuring precise installation of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic components.
  • Conduct run-off testing of new equipment prior to Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
  • Collaborate with customers to perform factory acceptance tests on new equipment.
  • Establish NC code for part patterns and configure systems in collaboration with software engineering.
  • Conduct lab trial setups and trials, contributing to product development.

Technical Inquiry Management (20%)

  • Manage customer inquiries via hotline calls, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Compile bill of materials for repair or upgrade kits.
  • Identify required spare parts for repairs and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with software engineering to troubleshoot and diagnose machine issues.
  • Make recommendations for repairs or upgrades to enhance system performance.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of technical experience, including 3-5 years in assembly, manufacturing, service, or repair.
  • Proficiency in mechanical and electrical skills with hands-on capability.
  • Experience with PC/PLC systems and software programming troubleshooting, preferably with Beckhoff controllers.
  • Proficient in NC code and skilled in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Training and understanding of liquid reactive resins processing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of electronic equipment, computer hardware, and software.
  • Practical application of engineering science and technology.
  • Familiarity with machines, tools, and maintenance.
  • Bilingualism is a plus.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Understanding of production processes and quality control.
  • Proficiency in curriculum and training design.

  • Collaborate closely with colleagues in sales and engineering, as well as support resources globally.
