They are currently at the forefront of constructing a multi-billion-dollar semiconductor fabrication facility in New York, contributing to the technological advancement and growth of the semiconductor industry. They are looking to hire a Senior Project Manager (Semiconductor Fab Construction).

Position Overview

• Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee the successful execution of our semiconductor fab construction project.
• The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of project management experience in semiconductor or similar high-tech facility construction.
• The Senior Project Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the project’s timely completion, within budget, and in adherence to the highest quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Project Planning and Execution

• Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client expectations.
• Lead cross-functional project teams to achieve milestones and deliverables according to schedule.
• Oversee the construction activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.

Stakeholder Management

• Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.
• Effectively communicate project progress, risks, and mitigation plans to all relevant parties.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs and expectations.

Budget and Cost Control

• Develop and manage project budgets, closely monitoring expenses and providing accurate financial reporting.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising project quality or timelines.

Quality Assurance and Safety

• Implement and maintain rigorous quality control measures throughout the construction process.
• Promote and enforce a culture of safety on-site, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.

Risk Management

• Identify potential risks and develop proactive strategies to mitigate them.
• Implement contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges and maintain project momentum.

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse project team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
• Proven experience (minimum 10 years) in project management within semiconductor or high-tech facility construction.
• The ideal candidates will have experience building the fab, core and shell, experience with off-site manufacturing, external support building, wastewater and ultra-pure water.
• PMP or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
