We are working with a rapidly scaling infrastructure platform building critical capacity for the next generation of artificial intelligence. The business is backed by significant capital, working with some of the most advanced technology organisations in the world, and is signing very large, complex infrastructure deals at pace.

As the platform scales globally, they are hiring a Commercial Director to take ownership of how deals are negotiated and how the commercial process that supports them is run.

This is a genuinely strategic role at the centre of the company’s most important transactions. You will sit across the table from sophisticated counterparties negotiating commercial terms on large infrastructure agreements while also designing and running the internal process that gets deals from kickoff to signature.

The business is moving quickly. Deals are complex, multi party and high value. The person in this role will ensure negotiations land strong commercial outcomes while building the frameworks, workflows and governance needed to execute transactions efficiently as the company grows.

Responsibilities

  • Own the deal lifecycle from initial structuring through negotiation, signature and handover to delivery
  • Lead or support negotiations across a portfolio of large, complex infrastructure transactions
  • Build and implement the internal deal process including stage gates, documentation standards, readiness checks and escalation paths
  • Work closely with legal teams to drive contracts to signature under aggressive timelines
  • Track and report deal pipeline and progress to senior leadership
  • Bring structure and clarity to multiple concurrent deals while maintaining speed of execution

  • This role is aimed at people who have operated inside serious transaction environments and are comfortable with both negotiation and deal execution.

Typical backgrounds could include

  • Must have Data Center experience
  • Vice President or above level experience in M&A or leveraged finance within an investment bank
  • Senior associate level experience in a top tier law firm working on complex transactions
  • Professionals who have led negotiations and deal processes on large infrastructure or energy transactions

Candidates should be able to demonstrate that they have personally negotiated commercial terms with external counterparties and have owned deals from early structuring through to signing.

This is not a procurement, deal desk or sales operations role. The company is specifically looking for individuals with deep transaction exposure who are comfortable operating under pressure in fast moving deal environments.
