Are you looking to help build the infrastructure powering the next generation of AI?

CrimsonXT has partnered with a rapidly scaling AI cloud infrastructure company that designs and operates GPU-dense data centers for leading AI labs, governments, and enterprises. Their customers include Mistral, Poolside, Black Forest Labs, Meta, and more.

As demand for AI compute accelerates globally, they are expanding their engineering team and are now hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer to take end-to-end ownership of mechanical systems across next-generation, AI-optimized data center facilities.

Role Overview

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and delivering large-scale, high-density data center infrastructure built specifically for advanced AI workloads. This is a senior, high-impact role with ownership across the full mechanical lifecycle – from early-stage concept development and analytical modeling through to construction, deployment, and global scaling.

You will lead the development of modular, repeatable mechanical templates that enable rapid deployment across multiple regions, while working closely with internal engineering teams and managing external consultants and specialist partners. This role suits an engineer who enjoys technical ownership, complex problem-solving, and operating at the intersection of design strategy and real-world execution.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the design and evolution of mechanical systems for high-density, AI-optimized data centers
  • Developing and maintaining modular mechanical templates to enable fast, repeatable global deployment
  • Owning mechanical systems from early concept design and analytical modeling through to final build and execution
  • Ensuring mechanical designs integrate seamlessly with high-density cooling and power architectures
  • Applying strong analytical judgment through CFD modeling and capacity planning to inform design decisions
  • Acting as the primary technical interface between internal teams and external consultants and delivery partners
  • Managing and holding external engineering partners accountable for technical quality, while remaining adaptable as project requirements evolve

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a senior mechanical engineer with strong data center experience who thrives in fast-moving, technically complex environments and is comfortable owning systems end-to-end.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5–8 years’ experience designing large-scale industrial or mission-critical facilities, ideally data centers
  • Strong expertise in high-density cooling systems, including liquid-to-chip and/or immersion cooling
  • Proficiency in Revit / BIM for design development and template creation
  • Strong analytical skills, including CFD modeling and mechanical capacity planning
  • Experience managing external consultants and operating with a high degree of technical ownership

Nice to Have

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience supporting rapid, multi-region deployment programs
  • Exposure to AI or GPU-dense infrastructure environments
  • Comfort working across both strategic design and hands-on delivery phases

What’s in it for you?

You’ll join a highly technical, fast-growing team building infrastructure at the forefront of the global AI revolution. This role offers genuine design ownership, exposure to cutting-edge cooling technologies, and the opportunity to influence how large-scale AI data centers are delivered worldwide.

You’ll receive:

  • Competitive total compensation package (salary + equity)
  • Retirement or pension plan, aligned with local norms
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Generous PTO policy

Compensation Range: $150,000 – $250,000 base salary (depending on experience, skills, and location)
