Director, Data Centre Commissioning

CrimsonXT have partnered with an AI Cloud Platform company, which, due to growth, is looking to hire a variety of positions across the data centre space. We are looking for a Director, Data Centre Commissioning to join the team, ideally based on the West Coast or the Central time zone.

Role responsibilities: 

The Director – Data Centre Commissioning will lead integrated systems testing for mechanical, electrical, controls and security systems, proving each site can sustain multi-megawatt GPU loads with margin. You will:

• Develop and own the commissioning plan in alignment with company guidelines
• Author pre-functional check sheets, functional performance tests and integrated systems test scripts
• Coordinate third-party Cx agents, OEM service teams and site operations during energisation and load-bank testing
• Analyse trend data
• Manage issue-tracking log; drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions to closure
• Package final turnover documents for Operations

What we are looking for:

We are looking for someone with at least 7 years of experience commissioning mission-critical MEP systems (UPS, switchgear, chillers, pumps, BMS/EPMS). You should have hands-on experience with integrated systems tests > 20 MW and > 5 kW/ft² rack densities, and be familiar with IST tools: load banks, networked power meters, and high-resolution thermal sensors.

You should have a strong knowledge of NFPA 70, ASHRAE 90.4, IEC 61439, and ISO 50001, excellent analytical skills, and overall, be someone passionate about the products you build and the customer experience. You must be able to take ownership from inception to delivery and approach every problem with an open mind and a positive attitude.
