CrimsonXT have partnered with a fast-growing manufacturer of electric vehicles, leading the electric vehicle revolution. We are looking to hire a Compliance & Regulations Engineer for the team, based in Kansas, US.

Role responsibilities: 

If successful, you will report directly to the Vehicle Safety and Compliance Manager, you will utilize data-driven research and analysis to ensure that future model trucks are safe and compliant, and to maximise overall product quality, customer satisfaction, customer loyalty. You will:

  • Review/investigate customer complaints, warranty, field data, and organise for reporting
  • Monitor field remedies for effectiveness
  • Ensure compliance with early warning reporting
  • Conduct thorough root cause investigations of suspect safety defects or noncompliance events
  • Compile necessary vehicle and powertrain documentation for yearly CARB and EPA certifications
  • Facilitate Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) Assignments for upcoming production
  • Conduct in-depth reviews of federal, state, and other applicable laws and regulations
  • Collaborate with numerous internal teams to assist in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Lead field remedy campaign activities
  • Organise and manage tasks specific to regulatory compliance through Jira Software

What we are looking for:

We are looking for someone with a Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Technology, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited college or university, and a demonstrated ability to understand technical materials and communicate to non-technical audiences effectively. You should have:

  • A demonstrated ability to build consensus by communicating effectively through written and verbal means to various audiences
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A high level of organisation managing multiple tasks of various sizes on different schedules with ever-changing levels of priority
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate issues and plan; proactive work ethic
  • Experience and knowledge in interpreting FMVSS, FMCSA, and other automotive and transportation regulations
  • Proven expertise in data-driven problem solving and process improvement (PDCA, RC/CM, TBP, DMAIC, etc.)
  • Understanding of dealership service, parts, and warranty operations and processes
  • Knowledge and understanding of the vehicle manufacturing and quality assurance processes
  • Basic knowledge of Jira Software

*Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. You will work in a stationary position up to 75% of the time.*
