Commercial Project Manager

CrimsonXT has partnered with a global technology business delivering advanced manufacturing and supply chain solutions, looking to hire a Commercial Project Manager based in the UK. 

You’ll oversee the commercial and financial performance of projects across the UK, working closely with project managers and senior stakeholders to improve profitability, manage risk and support cash flow throughout the project life cycle.

Role responsibilities:

• Manage project forecasting and Estimate at Completion (EAC), ensuring accurate forecasts of costs, revenue and profitability.
• Monitor project margins, cash flow and working capital, identifying variances and recommending corrective action.
• Partner with Project Managers and Project Directors to support commercial decisions and improve project performance.
• Assess the financial impact of contract variations, change orders, claims and additional scope.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities, supporting project reviews and recovery plans.
• Work with procurement, operations and finance teams to improve reporting, billing and cash collection.

What we are looking for:

• A part-qualified accountant, or equivalent relevant experience in project finance, commercial finance or project controls.
• Strong financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis experience.
• Experience using ERP systems, ideally SAP, alongside strong Excel skills.
• Commercial awareness and the confidence to challenge assumptions and influence project decisions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in engineering, automation, construction, manufacturing, logistics or another project-based environment would be advantageous. Familiarity with complex projects, customer contracts, change control and revenue recognition would also be beneficial.
