The Role

We are seeking an Application Engineer to support sales activities across Southern Europe and the Middle East. This role plays a critical part in customer acquisition, quotation preparation, technical feasibility assessments, and business development initiatives. You will work closely with sales teams, agents, and distributors, providing technical and commercial expertise for both standard and customized chiller solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Support

• Support agents and distributors with technical and commercial inputs during customer acquisition
• Provide internal telephone support and occasional on-site technical advice
• Deliver technical and product presentations to customers and partners
• Support negotiations with technical expertise

Quotation & Commercial Processing

• Prepare and manage quotations in line with defined internal workflows
• Perform feasibility checks and cost calculations for standard and customized products
• Coordinate with production regarding capacity, lead times, and component availability
• Analyze logistics, customs requirements, and payment terms (especially for non-EU markets)
• Ensure all quotations and customer data are accurately maintained in the CRM system

Applications & Engineering

• Design customer-specific solutions across applications including:
• Data centers
• HVAC systems
• Pharmaceutical facilities
• Industrial sectors

Business Development

• Support and lead business development initiatives such as market expansion, product diversification, and strategic partnerships
• Contribute to marketing materials, brochures, and technical documentation

Tools & Systems

• Use internal selection and quotation tools and standardized templates
• Maintain accurate records and reporting within the CRM system

Candidate Profile

• Engineering background (mechanical, energy, HVAC, or similar)
• Experience in application engineering, technical sales support, or quotation management
• Strong understanding of HVAC/chiller systems (oil-free and/or oil-based preferred)
• Commercial awareness and ability to work cross-functionally
• Comfortable supporting international sales activities
• Willingness to travel within the assigned region
