Lead Mechanical Engineer Data Center Design

We have partnered with a fast-scaling AI infrastructure company designing and building data centers at gigawatt scale, and we’re hiring across the mechanical design team, from Mechanical Engineer through Lead Mechanical Engineer, depending on your experience.

What you’ll be doing (scope flexes with level):

• Own mechanical systems for AI-optimized, high-density data centers, from concept and modeling through build and deployment
• Design cooling systems for AI-class density: chilled water, CDUs, direct liquid cooling
• Build modular, repeatable mechanical templates for rapid global deployment
• Act as technical bridge between internal teams and external MEP consultants
• (Lead level) Own the mechanical basis of design and master specs across the full portfolio, direct chiller/coolant/pump vendor strategy, and build/lead the mechanical engineering team

We’d like to hear from you if you have:

• Experience owning mechanical design for data centers or other high-density critical facilities
• Command of chilled water systems, chillers, and direct liquid cooling at high rack densities
• Comfort managing external consultants and design lifecycle from concept through IFC
• (Lead level) A track record building/leading a mechanical engineering team and setting design standards across a multi-site portfolio
• Bonus: PE license, CFD experience (6SigmaET, Icepak, Flotherm), ASHRAE TC 9.9 involvement
