IT Project Manager – Warehouse Automation (Benelux)

We’re supporting a leading warehouse automation provider in the Benelux region as they expand their project delivery organisation, and are looking to appoint an experienced IT Project Manager with strong software delivery background.

This role sits at the heart of automation project execution, with responsibility for delivering WMS/WCS-type software solutions from design through testing and go-live. You’ll act as the main IT interface between customers, internal software teams, and the wider project organisation.

The environment is lean and delivery-focused. IT is recognised as one of the highest-risk areas of automation projects, so this is a role with genuine ownership, visibility, and accountability – not a coordination-only position.

Key responsibilities

• Leading software implementations across the full project lifecycle
• Translating customer and operational requirements into clear software scope
• Managing interfaces, integrations, testing, and go-live activities
• Coordinating internal software teams and customer stakeholders
• Controlling scope, quality, planning, and delivery risk

Background we’re looking for

• Experience as an IT / Software / Technical Project Manager in complex delivery environments
• Exposure to warehouse automation, intralogistics, or systems integration (WMS/WCS/MFS)
• Comfortable working across IT, engineering, and operations
• Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management skills
• Dutch and English required (German a plus)

Working model

• Flexible depending on project phase
• Mostly home or office-based during development
• Increased site presence during testing and implementation (typically 1–2 days per week)
