Looking for a new career opportunity?

CrimsonXT are partnering with a rapidly growing clean technology company advancing next-generation electrification and energy delivery solutions. Their mission is to enable fast, reliable access to high-power charging and distributed energy systems that support transportation electrification at scale.

If you thrive in fast-moving environments, enjoy solving complex technical problems, and want to shape the future of large-scale charging and power systems, this role offers the opportunity to build, lead, and influence products that will define an evolving market.

The Role

This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for defining product-level electrical architecture, leading system integration efforts, and scaling engineering execution. You’ll lead the development of high-power power electronics systemsembedded controls, and supporting hardware that enable high-density energy delivery.

You’ll build and lead a multidisciplinary engineering organisation and work closely with cross-functional teams across hardware design, firmware, testing, and manufacturing to deliver commercially scalable solutions.

Technical Leadership

  • Define system-level electrical architecture across high-power conversion, control systems, and supporting subsystems.
  • Guide design and review efforts across high-voltage, analog/digital, and embedded domains.
  • Oversee system integration, validation, prototype testing, and product iteration.
  • Drive engineering processes including design reviews, risk analysis, and root-cause investigations.
  • Support field performance feedback loops, sustaining engineering, and continuous improvement.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing Electrical & Systems Engineering team (approx. 10–12).
  • Establish workflows, development standards, and validation processes that support product scalability.
  • Partner closely with mechanical engineering, firmware/software, manufacturing, testing, and product leadership teams.

Execution & Program Ownership

  • Lead technical execution across multiple concurrent development programs.
  • Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to support prototypes, tooling, and production readiness.
  • Ensure product compliance with relevant safety and certification standards throughout the development lifecycle.

Strategy & Innovation

  • Stay ahead of emerging technologies within power electronics, energy storage, controls, and advanced materials.
  • Support long-term hardware roadmap development and technology selection.
  • Participate in technical discussions with partners, suppliers, and strategic stakeholders as needed.

Required

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or related discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience leading engineering teams in power electronics, energy systems, or hardware-centric product environments.
  • Proven experience developing and shipping high-power systems (>10 kW).
  • Expertise in modeling and design tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, LTspice, Altium).
  • Strong background in embedded controls, high-voltage design, magnetics, and thermal management.
  • Experience taking products from concept through mass production.
  • Ability to manage multiple development cycles and technical priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with contract manufacturers.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance environments (UL, CSA, FCC, etc.).
  • Experience with OTA systems, embedded testing workflows, or field deployments.

Why Join

  • Mission-driven team shaping the next era of electrified infrastructure.
  • High autonomy, high impact role with line of sight to product strategy.
  • Competitive compensation, benefits, and an environment that values innovation, experimentation, and execution.
