CrimsonXT has partnered with an AI Cloud Platform company that builds GPU supercomputers for some of the world’s leading AI labs, governments, and enterprises. Their customers include Mistral, Poolside, Black Forest Labs, Meta, and more.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to hire a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their high-performing team. This role can be based remotely in the U.S., with occasional travel to project sites.

Role Responsibilities

As Senior Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the design and development of mechanical systems for new facilities, expansions, and renovation projects. This includes HVAC system design, mechanical piping, equipment specification, BMS controls, and more. You’ll play a key role in delivering efficient, scalable systems that power some of the most advanced computing infrastructure in the world.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working with other Mechanical Engineers, Designers, and BIM Specialists to deliver complex design and construction documents
  • Collaborating with cross-discipline teams to produce fully coordinated projects
  • Managing smaller projects independently with limited supervision
  • Conducting site visits across the U.S. to gather data and review installations
  • Performing existing building surveys and documentation of HVAC systems
  • Developing system design calculations and equipment selections
  • Performing load and energy calculations using client-specified software
  • Writing and editing project specifications
  • Preparing detailed design documents, reports, and studies
  • Ensuring compliance with codes and standards
  • Providing construction administration services and QA/QC reviews
  • Guiding and mentoring junior engineers

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a technically strong, detail-oriented engineer with proven experience designing HVAC systems for high-density facilities such as data centers or telecom sites. You should bring a collaborative mindset and the desire to grow within a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience designing HVAC systems for data centers, telecom, or high-tech/industrial facilities
  • EIT certification required; PE license preferred
  • LEED certification/experience a plus
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to travel as needed
