Job Summary:

As a Semiconductor Tool Install Design Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading and coordinating the design and installation process for semiconductor tooling systems. Your expertise in tool installation within semiconductor manufacturing environments, particularly with a focus on Intel’s standards and requirements, will be invaluable in ensuring successful project execution. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, oversee design activities, and provide technical guidance to ensure seamless implementation and adherence to project timelines.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage the semiconductor tool installation design process, from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with project goals, specifications, and industry standards.
  2. Collaborate with engineering teams, project managers, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and expectations, particularly those related to Intel’s semiconductor tooling standards.
  3. Utilize your in-depth knowledge of Intel’s semiconductor manufacturing processes and tool installation guidelines to develop comprehensive and compliant design plans.
  4. Oversee the preparation of detailed engineering drawings, layouts, and blueprints for tool installation, adhering to design principles and semiconductor cleanroom specifications.
  5. Conduct rigorous reviews of design documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and feasibility.
  6. Manage a team of design engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  7. Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and installation teams to ensure seamless execution of tool installations, adhering to project schedules and budgetary constraints.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Intel representatives, to stay informed about the latest developments and advancements in semiconductor tooling.
  9. Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the tool installation design process.
  10. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain the firm’s competitive edge.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
  2. Proven experience (10 years) in semiconductor tool installation design, with specific experience in projects involving Intel’s standards highly desirable.
  3. Demonstrated expertise in semiconductor manufacturing processes and cleanroom environments.
  4. Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team and foster a collaborative work culture.
  5. Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant engineering tools.
  6. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  7. Solid understanding of safety and regulatory compliance within the semiconductor industry.
  8. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  9. A proactive and solution-oriented mindset, capable of overcoming challenges and implementing innovative solutions.
  10. Flexibility and willingness to travel as needed to support project installations and attend meetings with clients and partners.
