Role Overview: Reporting to the Global Director of Controls Engineering, the Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for developing advanced software to support top-tier chiller control applications with a focus on superior quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate in a global, multi-disciplinary environment, supporting both new product development and sustaining engineering efforts.
  • Develop control application software with a strong emphasis on design quality, implementation, and testing.
  • Work closely with fellow developers and subject matter experts to create and maintain high-performance chiller control software.
  • Lead efforts to improve software code through refactoring, modularization, standardization, and unification.
  • Drive enhancements in HMI and user experience for control applications.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in development processes, code quality, and system performance.
  • Participate in design and code reviews, refactoring, unit and integration testing, algorithm development, and documentation.
  • Contribute to the development of next-generation software for IoT-enabled control, monitoring, and diagnostics applications.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of software development experience in industrial/commercial applications, with a focus on control and automation.
  • Expert-level proficiency in C#/.Net for machine control applications; experience in C++ or other OOP languages is a plus.
  • Experience in developing HMI applications for automated equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of control PID algorithms, actuators, measurement, and sensing.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication and networking; knowledge of Building Automation Systems, BACnet, and Modbus is highly desirable.
  • Strong hardware aptitude.
  • Experience in web software development is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and quality code principles.
  • Proven track record of problem-solving and continuous improvement in commercial software applications.
  • Ability to work effectively in a global team environment across different time zones and diverse backgrounds.
  • Possess a proactive, can-do attitude.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English, with strong communication skills
