Engineering Manager

CrimsonXT has partnered with a global manufacturer of commercial and industrial chillers in search of an Engineering Manager. The Role

The Engineering Manager will lead the development of production drawings both for the mechanical and the electrical departments. They will be responsible for managing workloads, evaluations, design reviews and approvals, engineering change order processes, and the maintenance of standards and processes.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing a team of 20 employees that includes 14 designers.
• Providing leadership and mentoring.
• Coordinating the team to optimize performance.
• Implementing a continuous improvement culture.
• Managing the workload of the engineering team.
• Supervising the development of designs.

This position requires the individual to oversee the documentation of project requirements, communicate with production to ensure the quality of the product and provide technical support to sales and customers.

What they are looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering/manufacturing discipline.
• 10 years experience in leading HVAC engineering teams.
• Member of the OIQ.
• Must be based in Montreal.
